Very interesting parallels you came up with. Fitting.

Neat. Gave me a good laugh!

Thank you for this blog. I've been anti religion for many years and am beginning to feel that blogging about that might be a worth-while thing to do as an antidote to the rise in fundamentalism.

Fundamentalism eh? If these people stuck to the fundamentals of the New Testament they'd not be doing this, or would be heeding rebuke and repenting. Also, using this standard we can see we've broken or wanted to break all of these Commandments. Therefore we are no better than these people.
As for Matthew 10:37... Obeying the word of the Lord is honouring your parents and loved ones. The reason(s) is complex, but genuinely fulfilling food for thought for those inclined towards mature thinking.

I'm not confident that anyone featured in these images is truly a Christian.
ONE: side note: That is a Federal Reserve Note and relatively new in America's history. George Washington was involved in freemasonry and therefore his credentials as a true Christian are suspect.
TWO: Catholic "church" is not truly Christian.
THREE: Easy target :) Thanks to the author for pointing out this man is blaspheming.
FOUR: Excellent observation for the modern context. Reverence for this Commandment tends to turn people away from an unhealthy obsession with the futile pursuit of sports entertainment and all ungodly wastefulness that rides it's coat tails. This Commandment is wise, as are they all.
FIVE: That's not really Jesus in the picture. Idolatry again. A common snare in this visualcentric (made up word) medium.
SIX: Lay in the coffin at Skull and Bones to become "born again"? He's not really a Christian! OK! Why do so many people fall for his lies. (Actually I think the Nazis figured that out). Both atheists and nominal Christians fall for wars based on lies, both nominal Christians and atheists believe the lie that Bush is Christian. Sigh.
As for the soldiers... How easily it is to decieve those who do not follow the word of God (whether they claim to be Christian or anything else). Jesus compelled His disciples to aid and to preach the Gospel to their enemies, not bomb their children. It's pretty clear from reading just one of the four Gospels.
SEVEN: Mormons are not truly Christian.
EIGHT: "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew 7:15
"Which devour widows' houses, and for a shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation." Luke 20:47
"Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron." 1st Timothy 4:1-2
"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not." 2nd Peter 2:1-3
NINE: A stunning example of why Jesus had to go to the cross for the sin of man. It's obvious that no amount of good deeds could redeem man when we see first hand what the legacy of Adam has advanced into.
TEN: The Catholic "Church" again. We are in agreement! See Revelations for prophesy against this harlot "church", among other things.

And by the way, the Lord will forgive those who have participated in the 'blasphemy challenge'. In His mercy, He has spared some who will repent and they shall be forgiven for He has hid from their eyes what blaspheming the Holy Spirit truly is.

Thank you for reading and allowing me to share this dialogue with you. May Lord Jesus bless you unto salvation! :)
